Born on February 11th, 1847; died October 18th, 1931. Did much of his inventing in West Orange, NewJersey, where he built the world's first movie studio -- the BlackMaria. He was a believer in the occult, with an interest in Theosophy.

As the inventor of the movie camera, one could think of him as the father of the SilverScreen.
