On The Road
We started with a
DannyGreer flashback to his first meeting with
SamLully, while Danny was in the mental hospital. Lully admitted that he heard the voices (and
ForgottenSongs) too. He also explained what
VITRIOL meant, talked about how strong the signals were so close to Mexico, and said they were strong at
MountShasta and the
Ozarks as well. He asked Danny to join him in his ministry, and revealed the existence of the
DeroAndTheTero.
We then cut to Angie, who performed a
ritual to
Erzulie. As the ritual was ending,
JoeyDell showed up and tried to lure her to
LosAngeles to make a record. He mentioned
DennisPrine's
SunsetRecords. We later found out that
LewisFelt was the person who made Joey the offer. Angie resisted tempation, but a voice told her she could "only redeem one of them."
The rest of the group left
Louisiana and slept at a motel in North Carolina. In the middle of the night,
ThankfulJones and
BobbyDufour showed up. Black knocked Bobby over the balcony in the ensuing fight, after which things got calmed down and we all agreed to go get some pancakes and talk it over.
Over pancakes, they told us that
FrankCairoJr was looking for Black. Thankful also admitted to being in love with
LinhMei, and asked us to rescue her from one of the
KingSnake's whorehouses in Texas. We said we'd think about it and departed more or less in peace.
Afterwards we headed to
WashingtonDC. I-495 was horrendously backed up, due to a
guy with a dead porcupine who was burning road flares in one lane. When we investigated, we found that the road flares appeared to be burning in reverse. He ranted about
Abaddon and the Beast for a while, and we found a couple of unburnt road flares with other interstate numbers on them. We kept the flares, and headed into town.
In DC, Reese found the National Interstate Highway Museum and was lost to the world. He did some research and discovered the original
KnightsOfTheRoad.
