Chicago Burning
Jeez, where to start. Our heroes returned to Chicago all fuelled up with secret knowledge. They met up with Sue and in a Best Western motel room got her to summon the WickedWitchOfTheWest (by watching a weird version of the Wizard of Oz in synch with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon). Sue was possessed by the Witch, to general horror and suspicion. In exchange for protecting them from TheSelenim, the party promised to restore what was stolen from the Witch. Then all went to the SearsTower, where they captured the fire-ka and trapped it in a spark plug. A fiery bull charged across the sky and Chicago erupted into fire. While the Witch called the bull to her, our heroes fled in Waylon's flaming chariot, escaping the burning building into a hail of bullets from the police and Pinkertons surrounding it. JohnMoses was killed, shot by Black and Reese, and run over by Waylon, but Waylon was mortally wounded. In the flaming LS6, our heroes drove to the Fire House to confront Legal Coxey and the Goldbugs. Sue neutralized two of the old plutomancers, the college boy killed his grandfather, and Waylon helped to cut off his head. Lots of madness checks, including one that sent Reese around the bend. TheNephilim Abaddon began to manifest around Legal's head. Waylon held it high and the others drove the LS6 into them, ending Waylon's life and destroying Abaddon.- Well, we collapsed the economy of America, that was prety, um... nifty. Weren't we supposed to be the good guys? [Jere]
