In an abandoned slaughterhouse, John Moses and the Pinkertons torture and interrogate Danny and Reese. In the Emerald Room (an IAM/MONARCH brainwashing technique) Legal Coxey (originally Sam Lully, later retconned) orders Reese and Danny to kill the Wicked Witch of the West. Ben and Angie make contact with Sue and hide out in the Sect's Chicago shelter. Ben meets a blind, trepanated vagrant named Tucker who helps him to find the location of the others. Receiving transmissions saying "God is Red," Danny enters some sort of violent altered state and kills a number of Pinkertons.
