Mickey, along with ReeseBeulay, has retired to KeyWest. He spends his nights tending bar and his days helping Reese raise DannyGreer's kids. He occasionally plays a game of poker, if someone challenges him.

Brant's Inspiration for Mickey "Black" Nys

I was originally going to play a character in line with ZakNoon, but after talking with Rob I came to the realization that an exiled party-boy wouldn't be all that effective in this game. Which proved to be true, since our group tends to kill things and get beaten up a lot.

Maybe that was a self-fulfilling prophecy, though. Maybe if you'd played a different character, the group wouldn't have killed so many things or gotten in quite so many fights. Well, maybe. [Rob]

So I came up with Mickey. I essentially took Johnny Knoxville from MTV's "Jackass" and painted him with shades of "Ocean's 11" (the remake, not the original). I wanted him to be violent, almost unflinchingly so, 'cause I never play violent characters. I think he turned out okay.

I think Mickey turned out great. And I can't in retrospect imagine the game without him. But I did always think the mysterious endless circuit party was also a great idea and I'm glad we got a chance to use it. (A rave isn't exactly the same thing as a circuit party, I guess, but I have a little experience with the former and none with the latter, so I played what I knew.) [Rob]
