Founder of the BlackGrail, and collector of American folk music. His AnthologyOfAmericanFolkMusic was a seminal work and contributed greatly to the 60s folk revival.
His mother claimed he was the son of Aleister Crowley; it's unclear if that's true or not.
He spent the last years of his life restricted to the island of Manhattan, and refused to use the public sewage system. We believe this to be due to the enmity of the LosAngeles faction of the BlackGrail.
