"I'd like you each to think of (for tonight) a character idea for a pulp Hollow Earth interlude... Think waaaay over the top, sci fi / new age / theosophy, think the Shaver Myth, think Amazing Stories pulp. Two-fisted Doc Savage heroes, four-armed Lemurians, haughty queens with crystal focused mentalics, psychic vimana-saucer pilots, wise old Bigfoots, whatever. Don't bother coming up with stats (I'll probably use a combination of Wushu and faking it for this segment). Just indulge your sense of pulp stupidity. 'The Caged Horrors of Nelia-Sai spat acid and shrieked like stuck babies, but Doc Brass stood fast, dealing hot righteous death with his marvelous turbopistols.' That kind of thing."
-- Rob
A band of noble pulp heros led (maybe) by Doctor
SamLully. Believed to have perished on an adventure into the
HollowEarth. After defeating various foes (see below), they faced the
DeroAndTheTero, who were led by
Bry An and
Greer respectively. Neither seemed very trustworthy. A cliffhanger (with
UFOs) ensued.
"You are a team of pulp adventurers, led by that two-fisted paragon of humanity, Doc Lully. Lully found the cave complex in the
Ozarks -- together you worked your way down from the surface world into the Lair of the
Nome King. Below that mountain fastness, you found the Lightless Tunnels of Tsathoggua and fought your way through the Spawning Caves of the Sub-Arachnoids. Finally you reached your destination: the Lost World, the Hollow Earth, the vast cavern of the Earth’s Inner Sun."
