California is the
WesternLands of
America. It is the place you go when you want to take off your old mask and put on another. It is the home of dreams, from the processed dreams of commerce found in
Hollywood to the free-spirited dreams of rebellion sprung from the loins of
SanFrancisco.
It is a land steeped in the occult: the
WickedWest. The
Silverites live in California, these days.
MountShasta, one of the
SevenCities, stands sentinel at the northern end of the state. The
Oneiros was kept in
LosAngeles for most of the century, and may still be in the vicinity for all we know.
Other groups known to be active in California: the
BlackGrail and the
FellowshipOfBadTraffic.
